Privacy Policy

AstroAgni ("we", "us") is an Android app in which AI astrologers answer your questions from your Vedic birth chart (kundli). This policy explains what information the app and this website handle, why, who processes it for us, and the choices you have. We've kept it as plain as we can.

Who we are

AstroAgni is operated from India. For anything in this policy, including requests about your data, email support@astroagni.com. We reply to grievances within 48 hours.

Information you give us

Google sign-in: when you continue with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from your Google account, and a Google account ID that keeps your wallet, kundli and chats tied to you.
Your birth details: name, gender, date, time and place of birth, and (if you give it) marital status. These are needed to calculate your kundli.
Family and friends' birth details: if you add people (up to 20) to make their kundli, match kundlis or buy a report for them, we store the name, relation, gender and birth details you enter. Please only add someone's details if you have a right to share them.
Chat content: the questions you send to astrologers and the answers they give, plus any rating, review, refund reason or report you submit.
Photos you choose to send: a palm photo for a palm reading, or a photo attached in chat (for example your palm, your home for vastu, or an old kundli page). See "Photos" below for exactly how these are handled.
Settings: language, theme, text size, daily spending limit and notification choices.
Messages to support: anything you send to support@astroagni.com.

Information collected automatically

Wallet and purchase records: credits added, spent and refunded, and the Google Play order details we need to add credits and handle refunds.
A one-way hash of a device identifier, used only to stop the first-purchase offer and free credits being claimed many times from the same phone. It is not used for advertising.
Push token: if you turn on notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging gives your device a token so we can send the daily horoscope, transit alerts and payment updates you chose.
Basic technical logs on our server (such as time of a request and errors) to keep the service secure and working.

Photos

Kundli scan ("fill from an old kundli"): the photo is read on your phone using Google's on-device text recognition. It is not sent to us.
Photos in chat: the writing in a photo is read on your phone first. Sometimes only that text is sent. When the picture itself is needed for the answer, it is sent through our server to the AI provider for that one answer and is not saved on our server.
Palm reading: your palm photo is sent through our server to the AI provider to make the reading and hand shape, and is not saved on our server. The written reading is saved so you can open it again.

What we don't do

No advertising, no advertising SDKs, and we don't sell or rent your personal data.
No promotional calls or SMS.
We never see your card, UPI or bank details: payments happen inside Google Play.

How we use information

To calculate kundlis, horoscopes, matches, reports and palm readings.
To write answers to your questions, in your chosen language.
To run your credit wallet, apply your daily spending limit and give refunds.
To send the notifications you turned on.
To answer support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the service secure.

AI providers

AstroAgni's astrologers are AI. To write an answer, our server sends the AI provider your question, the recent messages of that conversation, your relevant kundli calculations and the birth details needed (for example the name the astrologer calls you by), and any photo you chose to send. We use Google Gemini (Google LLC) and may use Anthropic Claude (Anthropic PBC); the provider can differ by astrologer level. They process this data on our behalf to produce the answer, under their terms for business API customers. We don't send your email address or Google account ID to the AI providers.

Purchases

Credit packs are bought through Google Play Billing. Google handles your payment details; we only receive the order and product information. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases; it receives an app user ID and your purchase history, not your chats or birth details.

Other service providers

Google Firebase: Firebase Authentication (Google sign-in) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications).
Our hosting provider, which runs our server and database.

Data may be processed outside India by these providers. We share personal data only with the providers above, who act for us, or where the law requires it.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete single chats or people's kundlis in the app at any time.
You can delete your whole account in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account, or by emailing us. See Delete your account.
When you delete your account, your profile, birth details, family kundlis, chats, readings, wallet balance and push tokens are deleted, including from backups, within 30 days.
Purchase and transaction records are kept for up to 8 years where Indian tax and accounting law requires it.

Your rights (India's DPDP Act 2023)

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to get a summary of the personal data we process and who we share it with, to have it corrected, completed or updated, to have it erased, to withdraw consent (which may mean you can't keep using the app), to nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated, and to a readily available grievance process. Write to support@astroagni.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India. If you live elsewhere, you may have similar rights under your local law; contact us and we'll help.

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to our server and database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please also keep your phone and Google account protected.

Age

AstroAgni is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you add a child's birth details as a family member, you do so as their parent or guardian.

This website

astroagni.com is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. It has no sign-in, no ads and no analytics. It remembers your theme choice in your browser's local storage. GitHub may log your IP address to serve and protect the site, and fonts load from Google Fonts.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
